This post isn’t meant to demonize any specific training method or sport. It’s simply meant to shine a light on the false realities often portrayed on social media. Platforms like Instagram and TikTok are notorious for distorting reality — whether it’s luxury vacations, expensive cars, or “perfect” lives. But the illusion I’m talking about here is the one surrounding extreme physiques — the kind that many people mistakenly view as the ultimate picture of health, or something that’s actually sustainable long-term. Let’s be honest: many of those images are heavily edited, perfectly lit, and timed during peak physical condition. And while I’ll generalize a bit here, the bodybuilding community is most often associated with posting “physique updates,” flexing videos, and competition photos. To be clear, this isn’t a knock on bodybuilders. The work, discipline, and sacrifice that go into preparing for a show are nothing short of incredible. These athletes...

In a world that moves faster every day, it’s easy to overlook one of the most powerful tools we have for building a better life — place. Where you spend your time shapes who you become. The places you choose for work, rest, and growth have a direct impact on your mindset, your habits, and your happiness. Your Place for Work Your workspace isn’t just where you earn a paycheck — it’s hopefully where you create, build, and contribute. It’s where you bring discipline to your goals and purpose to your time. When your workspace reflects focus and intention, it pulls that same energy out of you. Whether it’s a job site, an office, or your own small business, your “place for work” should challenge you to rise to the occasion every day. Your Place for Rest Rest doesn’t just happen — it’s cultivated. It may be your home, camping...

As a gym owner one of my jobs is to make sure that the gym is helping fullfill the needs of our community. I look around our community and see a ton of people that still need fitness in their lives. I watched my own grandparents not have a safe, fun, and effective fitness outlet as they aged and I cannot help but think I could have done more to help them live longer, and a higher quality of life longer. L.I.F.E stands for “Longevity, Independence, Functional efficiency,” and it aims to demonstrate that no one is too old or out of shape to benefit from the basic CrossFit principles of utilizing a variety of...
